Welcome to our latest case study, where we showcase how Reactive Plumbing & Electrical helped a resident in Blackalls Park with their plumbing issue. Our team of expert technicians are always ready to provide top-notch services and this case is no exception.
The Client’s Situation
Our client, Mrs. Smith from Blackalls Park (2283), contacted us through our website after noticing a leak near her water heater. She was concerned about the potential damage it could cause and wanted it fixed as soon as possible.
The Technician Assigned
We assigned Theran, one of our experienced service technicians, to handle the job. With years of experience under his belt and extensive knowledge in plumbing systems, we knew he would be able to resolve the issue efficiently.
The Job Description & Solution
Upon arrival at Mrs. Smith’s residence, Theran conducted an initial inspection and found that there was a leaking pipe underneath her home next to the water heater. After further investigation, he discovered that the copper water line from the hot outlet of the system had separated causing a substantial leak.
Mrs. Smith had already isolated the system at the water heater isolation valve which was also found to be leaking onto the ground. Upon closer examination, Theran noticed that Mrs.Smith’s system installed in 2019 was non-compliant as it delivered water above 50 degrees Celsius without any tempering valve installed.
To prevent scalding and ensure compliance with safety standards, Theran recommended installing a tempering valve on Mrs.Smith’s system along with conducting a major service since it was 6 years old.
Theran also conducted a pressure test on the water supply to Mrs.Smith’s home and found that it was excessive at 600kpa. He presented her with various options for repairs and she accepted the pipe repair along with our VIP membership program.
Theran then proceeded to cut out the affected pipework and replaced it with new copper pipes and fittings. After reinstating the water supply, he conducted thorough testing to ensure everything was working properly.
