Job Description & Solution
Theran arrived at Caroline’s home and conducted a thorough investigation of the ensuite shower taps. He then proceeded to conduct a pressure test on the water supply of the entire house. The results showed that the water pressure was excessively high at 700kpa, exceeding the allowable limit of 500kpa.
To solve this issue, Theran presented Caroline with two options – replacing the existing taps or installing a 500kpa pressure regulation valve. After discussing both options with Theran and considering long-term benefits, Caroline opted for VIP membership and chose to have all her tapware replaced with 1/4 turn lever taps.
Before starting any work, Theran isolated the water supply to ensure safety during installation. He then removed all existing tapware and installed new 1/4 turn lever tapware as per Caroline’s request. To prevent any future leaks or damages due to high pressure, he also sealed all tap penetrations before reinstating the water supply.
The job was completed efficiently and effectively, with Theran conducting a final test to ensure everything was in working order. Due to the high water pressure issue, we could only offer a 30-day warranty on the new taps.
