The Job Description & Solution
Upon arrival at Geoff’s residence, Theran conducted a thorough investigation of the issue. He started by conducting a pressure test on the water supply of the home and found that it was excessively high at 700kpa – well above the allowable limit of 500kpa.
To solve this issue, Theran presented two options to Geoff – replacing the existing taps or installing a 500kpa pressure regulation valve. After discussing both options with our client, he decided to go ahead with VIP membership and opted for 1/4 turn lever taps as they are more durable and easier to use.
To begin the installation process, Theran first isolated the water supply to ensure safety during work. He then removed all existing tapware before supplying and installing new 1/4 turn lever tapware. To prevent any future leaks or damages caused by high water pressure, he also sealed all tap penetrations before reinstating the water supply.
Before leaving Geoff’s residence, Theran conducted thorough testing on all installed fixtures and ensured that the issue was completely resolved. However, due to the high water pressure, we could only offer a 30-day warranty on the taps.
