Todd, a resident of Warabrook (2304), was facing a major issue with his stormwater system. The heavy rains had caused the pipes to become blocked, resulting in water overflowing and causing damage to his property. Desperate for a solution, he turned to Reactive Plumbing & Electrical after finding us through our ad.
Assigned Technician: Adam
We quickly assigned our experienced technician, Adam, to the job. With years of experience and expertise in handling similar issues, we knew he would be able to provide an effective solution for Todd’s problem.
The Job Description & Solution
Upon arrival at the site, Adam used CCTV cameras to inspect the stormwater line and found multiple defective sections of pipework. To restore flow and prevent any further damage, he first attempted using a jet blaster but unfortunately it did not work due to the severity of the blockage.
After careful consideration and consultation with Todd, Adam provided two options for spot digs – one emergency spot dig in dirt and another additional spot dig on another section of pipe that showed signs of potential failure.
Emergency Spot Dig:
- – Excavate defective pipe in marked location.
- – Expose around defective 90mm tee.
- – Reinstate with new slope junction.
- – Support pipework with appropriate fill.
- – Backfill pipework.
- – Leave site clean and tidy 10 year warranty on pipework (This warranty covers any defects or issues with the pipework that may arise within 10 years of the spot dig.)
Additional Stormwater Spot Dig:
- – Excavate defective pipe in marked location.
- – Expose around defective 90mm tee.
- – Reinstate with new slope junction.
- – Support pipework with appropriate fill.
- – Backfill pipework.
