Case Study: Blocked Drain Emergency in Eleebana

The Job Description & Solution
I called Reactive Plumbing & Electrical as my main sewer line was completely blocked. Upon arrival, Tarin conducted an investigation and found that the line was chocked with tree roots. He immediately got to work using specialised jet blasting equipment to try and penetrate the blockage and restore flow to the sewer line.
After successfully penetrating the blockage, Tarin used a CCTV drain camera to visually inspect the condition of the line. It was then discovered that there was a failed connection between my house’s PVC sewer line and its shaft, allowing large trees to choke up the line.
Further inspection revealed multiple failures and cracks in downstream clay pipes connected to a 6″ enlargement from PVC pipe at base of shaft. This meant that permanent rectification solutions were needed for long-term results.
Solution:
- Tarin will be returning on June 10th between 7-9am with specialised equipment for permanent rectification solutions.
- This includes repairing or replacing damaged sections of clay pipe downstream from sewer shaft connection point.
- All repairs will be done according to industry standards and regulations.
