Nina, a resident of Croudace Bay (2280), was facing a major plumbing issue. Her sewer pipework had failed and needed urgent repair. After searching for reliable plumbers online, she came across Reactive Plumbing & Electrical’s website through their ad.

Josh, one of our experienced service technicians, was assigned to the job due to his expertise in seamless reline repairs and excavation work. With years of experience under his belt, he was well-equipped to handle this complex project.
The Job Description and Solution
Nina contacted us with her plumbing emergency and we quickly sent out Josh to assess the situation. Upon inspection, it was clear that the sewer pipework needed immediate attention as it had broken below concrete areas in her backyard.
We provided Nina with a written quote (N 1882) outlining the necessary works required for the repair. The solution involved carrying out seamless inversion relining on the failed sewer pipework along with excavation work under concrete areas. As an added bonus, we also offered complimentary spot excavation repair on the right-hand side of her property.
To carry out these works efficiently, our team used specialised equipment such as concrete cutting tools and jackhammers to remove sections of stamped concrete in marked locations in Nina’s backyard. We then excavated and exposed existing sewer connections before installing new junction connections from existing pipework.
In total, up to 20m of seamless relines were installed below garden beds, footpaths, and grassed areas in Nina’s backyard. This process took approximately 6 hours for curing before being tested and commissioned by our team. As a testament to our quality work, all relined areas come with a 25-year guarantee.
Once the connections were installed and tested, we backfilled and restored the ground to its original state. It’s worth noting that any concrete reinstatement was done in plain grey up to 1m square as per Nina’s request.
