The Job Description & Solution:
Upon arrival at Don’s property, Fin assessed the situation and found that there were no inspection openings for the stormwater system. This made it difficult to locate the blockage without causing further damage. To gain access, Fin had to remove a downpipe carefully.
To get a better understanding of the problem, we used CCTV cameras to inspect the drainage system but encountered another obstacle – a square junction that prevented us from moving further down the line.
In order to continue with our inspection and find an effective solution for Don’s blockage issue, we excavated and cut into pipework next to the square junction for access. However, even after multiple attempts using jetting equipment and CCTV cameras, we couldn’t make any progress due to obstructions in the pipes.
We then provided Don with various options for further work based on our findings and cleaned up the site before leaving.
