To fix the leak, Matt used a high-speed tungsten carbide drill bit to shave seats and flushed out any debris from the lines. He also replaced all o-rings, jumpers valves, fibre washers, and relubricated spindles before reinstating the tapware back in its place.
The tapware was tested thoroughly by Matt after completing all repairs to ensure there were no more leaks or issues. However, he did note a large crack in one of the brass seats which could potentially cause problems in future. Therefore, he advised Liz that it would be best to replace it with something of ceramic disc style as soon as possible.
