Why Deborah Called Us
Deborah, a resident of Wallsend (2287), found herself in an emergency situation when her kitchen tap suddenly stopped producing water. She was unable to use her sink for cooking or cleaning, which caused a major inconvenience for her daily routine. After searching online, she came across our website through our Online Booking ad and decided to give us a call.

The Job Description & Solution
Upon arrival at Deborah’s home, Zach performed standard plumbing diagnostic checks and discovered that only the kitchen tap was affected by the lack of water flow. He also noticed that there was no hot water coming from the tap despite it being connected to a hot water system. Further investigation revealed that the property’s water pressure was at 700kpa – well above Australian Standard 3500.1 Clause 3.3.4 which states that indoor water pressure should not exceed 500kpa.
Zach provided Deborah with two options – repair or replace the faulty kitchen tap or install a pressure regulating valve (PRV) to prevent excessive water pressure from damaging future tapware and voiding product warranties.
Deborah decided to join our VIP maintenance program and opted for a new kitchen tap. Zach efficiently installed the new tap and also installed a PRV to regulate the water pressure in her home, ensuring that she would not face similar issues in the future.
