The Job Description & Solution
Zavier attended Aaron’s site and conducted an investigation into the lukewarm water issue. Upon inspection, it was discovered that Aaron’s hot water system was over 19 years old with no prior servicing. It also lacked compliant valves such as a tempering valve and cold water expansion valve, as well as a safe tray.
To resolve this issue, Zavier recommended replacing the old hot water system with a new one along with all necessary compliant valve work including TPR (temperature pressure relief) valve, CWE (cold water expansion) valve, Trio valve, non-return valve, tempering valve and new half-inch copper pipe. The tank failure causing lukewarm water due to the absence of a tempering valve would be addressed by installing one during replacement.
In addition to this solution for the hot water system itself,
Zavier also suggested installing lagging on all exposed brass pipes and valves for added safety measures.
An electrician was also called in to disconnect and reconnect the hot water system.
As an added bonus, Zavier installed a complementary wall top set for Aaron’s laundry and checked for any leaks. The work was commissioned and tested before providing Aaron with a six-year warranty on the new hot water system and lifetime warranty on workmanship.
