The Job Description and Solution:
Upon arrival at Paul’s residence, Theran investigated the blocked drain affecting only the toilet. After speaking with Paul, it was discovered that he had previously had repairs done on his sanitary drain and was aware of its condition. He accepted our $149 blocked drain special along with a drain waiver.
To properly assess the situation, Theran used CCTV equipment upstream from the inspection point in the rear yard all the way down to the base of the toilet stack. This allowed him to locate a complete blockage caused by tree roots within the pipe.
In order to resolve this issue, high pressure jet blasting was used upstream from the inspection point in the rear yard. This effectively restored flow to the drain and removed any obstructions caused by tree roots. It was noted that there were substantial tree roots present within the drain but no further action was requested by Paul as he was already aware of their presence.
