Case Study: Emergency Spot Dig in Wallsend
Introduction: Our client, David from Wallsend (2287), recently contacted us at Reactive Plumbing & Electrical for an emergency spot dig on his property. He found us through our Newcastle Magnet ad and was impressed by our range of plumbing services.

Job Description:
The job required an emergency spot dig that needed to be done quickly and efficiently. The affected area was 700mm deep and needed immediate attention before it caused any further damage or inconvenience for David.
Solution:
To start off, we removed the turf from the affected area onto tarps to prevent any mess or damage to other parts of the property. Next, we excavated dirt onto tarps until we reached pipe level. We then carefully dug down up to 1.5m laterally around the pipe.
We installed a PVC pipe with directional junctional which would allow for future inspections and repairs if necessary. To ensure easy access for future maintenance, we brought inspection pipes to surface level from junctions.
The next step was bedding the pipe properly before backfilling it with soil. Finally, we reinstated the turf back into its original place leaving no trace of any digging work being done on David’s property.
