Jason, a resident of Mayfield (2304), was facing issues with his bath/shower mixer. The diverter was not functioning properly and he needed professional help to fix it. After searching online, he came across Reactive Plumbing & Electrical through our Online Booking ad.
The Assigned Technician: Jake
Jake, one of our experienced service technicians, was assigned to the job due to his expertise in handling similar plumbing issues. With years of experience under his belt and extensive knowledge about different types of mixers, we were confident that Jake would be able to provide an effective solution for Jason’s problem.
The Job Description & Solution
Upon arrival at the site, Jake examined the faulty bath/shower mixer and determined that access behind the mixing cover plate was required in order to diagnose any further issues. He provided Jason with a quote for a diagnostic fee of $299 which allowed him to gain access behind the cover plate.
After gaining access, Jake discovered that the nut off the back of the diverting pull and push device had come loose and needed to be rebuilt and configured back into the wall. Additionally, during his investigation, he found that there were also issues with Jason’s basin tap as it was coming apart from the vanity.
Jake quickly identified that this issue was caused by corroded mixing nuts due to high water pressure pushing through the mixer. In addition to fixing these immediate problems, Jake also gave Jason options for replacing either just the mixer or both rusted flexible hoses as well.
