Upon arrival at Elizabeth’s home, Nathan conducted a thorough inspection and identified that the blockage was located outside in the gully. He first attempted to clear it using rod plunging but unfortunately, it did not yield any results. Next, he used high pressure water jet blasting which successfully restored flow to the drain.

However, upon further investigation with our CCTV drain camera, Nathan discovered multiple sections of separated 100mm PVC on the sewer system. This required more extensive work and we provided Elizabeth with options for repair.

The scope of work included:

• Arriving onsite with necessary equipment
• Gently guiding skip bin into safe and accessible location
• Removing plants from work area and placing them in skip bin
• Hand excavating approximately 1m deep to expose 100mm PVC pipes
• Cutting out broken sections of PVC pipes and reconfiguring pipework as needed
• Installing a new gully and connecting it to bathroom junctions
• Testing for flow and leaks to ensure proper functioning
• Removing excess soil and disposing of it in the skip bin provided
• Backfilling with drainage gravel to complete the job.

This comprehensive solution not only solved Elizabeth’s immediate problem but also ensured that her plumbing system was in good condition for the long term.
