Job Description & Solution:
Nathan arrived at Kurvendra’s property and immediately got to work. He located the hot water system (HWS) on the wall behind the laundry and discovered that the TPR drain line was cut off inside the wall. After assessing the situation, Nathan provided options for repair and Kurvendra opted to proceed with our recommended scope of works:
- Arrive onsite and isolate power and water
- Drain existing HWS in cupboard
- Capp off existing water pipes and electrical
- Open up section of brickwork behind kitchen sink and expose copper pipework
- Join onto existing pipework and run new hot and cold water lines to new HWS location next to 100mm vent pipe.
- Install 250L everhot electric storage HWS on a ripple slab with new valves
and pipework to suit. - Lag all pipework and discharge TPR drainage line into gully located next to vent pipe.
- Fill tank and test for leaks
- Install new 2.5mm circuit from switchboard externally to HWS location
- Install 20amp rcbo
- Connect HWS and test.
- Use sand and cement mortar to cover brickwork removed
- Remove rubbish from site
