To locate it accurately, Jayden first cut out gyprock around the suspected area. Once exposed, he performed pressure testing on the pipework which showed no signs of leakage. However, as an extra precaution, he conducted another test by sealing off the shower floor waste and filling it with red dye-infused water.
This final test confirmed their suspicions – there was indeed an issue with Mary’s shower base and floor waste causing the persistent leak. To prevent any further damage or inconvenience for Mary, we strongly recommended replacing both components.
