Finn arrived on-site and immediately got to work assessing the blocked drain. He quickly identified that it was caused by an obstruction in the pipes leading to the basin in John’s ensuite. To resolve this issue, Finn carried out our $149 blocked drain special and used a plunger to restore flow back into the basin.
However, during his inspection, Finn noticed water damage on both the carpet and architraves near the shower area. Suspecting that there may be an underlying issue with waterproofing, he conducted pressure testing and flood testing on the shower. Although no dye tracking could be seen through to the carpet during inspection, Finn discovered evidence of dye seeping out from between grout lines – indicating a potential waterproofing problem.
To ensure that all issues were addressed thoroughly, Finn cleaned up any mess created by unclogging the drain before moving onto addressing any potential waterproofing concerns.
