JOB DESCRIPTION AND SOLUTION
The job involved servicing the shower ensuite tapware at 72 Tradewinds, which is part of Paradise Fitness. Upon arrival, Matt isolated the main water supply and drained down the system to prevent any further damage or leaks.
Matt then proceeded to disconnect and decommission the ensuite shower wall top assembly before implementing a high-speed tungsten carbide drill bit to shave seats and flush out any debris from the lines. He also replaced o-rings, jumpers valves, fibre washers, and relubricated spindles as needed.
The tapware was then reinstated and thoroughly tested by Matt. The good news? The leaks have ceased!
Please Note:A large crack was discovered on one of the brass seats during inspection. As a precautionary measure, we highly recommend replacing all tapware with something more durable like ceramic disc style in the future.
