The Job Description & Solution
Upon arrival at Kosala’s home, Ethan conducted a thorough investigation into the issue with low water temperature. It was discovered that the hot water system in place was original to the house and had been built over 10 years ago. Further testing using a temperature gauge revealed that while the water from the hot water cylinder was 56°C, it dropped down to only 34°C through the tempering valve.
Ethan recommended replacing the old tank as no prior servicing had been done on it. The scope of works included draining and removing the old system, configuring new copper pipework and valves, supplying a new base for the cylinder, installing a new 315 L hot water system with all necessary valve work and copper work, insulating all relevant parts for maximum efficiency, commissioning and checking for leaks before submitting Form 4 compliance paperwork.
To ensure safety standards were met during installation process an electrician also disconnected and reconnected power supply including safety switch at switchboard.
