Case Study: Hot Water System Replacement in The Junction
Sussana’s Dilemma
Sussana, a resident of The Junction (2291), was facing a major issue with her hot water system. She had noticed that the water coming out of her taps was not heating up as it should be. Concerned about this sudden change, she immediately started looking for a reliable plumbing and electrical service provider to help resolve the issue.
After searching online and asking around for recommendations, Sussana came across Reactive Plumbing & Electrical through their advertisement on Newcastle Magnet. Impressed by their services and positive reviews from previous clients, she decided to give them a call.
The Technician Assigned – Theran
Upon receiving Sussana’s call, our team at Reactive Plumbing & Electrical quickly assessed the situation and assigned one of our top technicians – Theran – to handle the job. With years of experience in handling various plumbing and electrical issues, we knew that Theran would be able to provide an efficient solution for Sussana’s hot water problem.
The Job Description & Solution
Theran arrived at Sussana’s residence and conducted a thorough investigation into the reported issue. It was determined that there was significant water ingress in the hot water system which was causing it to malfunction.
Further inspection revealed that the source of this ingress was traced back to a neighboring property located two homes away from Sussana’s house. A faulty water pipe from this property had compromised the Jemena gas supply line leading to Sussana’s home, creating a breach which allowed water to enter the gas line.
As a result of this contamination within the system, it caused damage to its components including the gas control valve which ultimately failed. After discussing all possible options with Sussana, we presented her with replacement options for her hot water system. She decided to go with the Thermann 26 model and we sourced a new system for her.
Theran then proceeded to disconnect the water and gas pipework, removing the existing hot water system. The new system was installed and adjustments were made to the gas and water pipework to ensure proper functioning. Before connecting everything back together, Theran purged both the water and gas lines as a precautionary measure. Once completed, he tested the system thoroughly to ensure it was working perfectly.
