Case Study: Solving Jennifer’s Washing Machine Hot Tap Issue in Cardiff
Jennifer, a resident of the suburb of Cardiff (2285), was facing an issue with her washing machine hot tap that would not shut off. Frustrated and in need of a solution, she turned to Reactive Plumbing & Electrical after finding us through our Newcastle Magnet ad.
Assigning Theran as the Service Technician
Upon receiving Jennifer’s call, we immediately assigned our experienced service technician Theran to handle the job. With years of experience and expertise in plumbing services, we knew he was the perfect fit for this particular task.
The Job Description and Solution
Theran arrived at Jennifer’s home and began his investigation by conducting a pressure test and water clarity test on her home. The results showed that the pressure was at 500kpa which is within normal range, and there were no issues with water quality.
However, upon further inspection, Theran discovered that Jennifer’s hot water system was 18 years old – well past its average expected lifespan of 10-15 years. Despite showing no signs of leaks, it was clear that this could be causing issues with her hot tap.
To solve the problem, Theran presented Jennifer with two options – repairing or replacing the tap. After discussing both options with her thoroughly, she decided to go ahead with repairing the tap.
Theran then disassembled all parts of the tap and replaced all seals and washers before reinstating water supply and testing it out. He also capped off an unused hot water tap to prevent any future issues from arising. Upon completion of his work, he conducted another thorough test to ensure everything was working perfectly.
