Upon arrival at Helen’s home, Theran conducted a thorough investigation of the plumbing system. He discovered that the vent pipe at the rear of her home had dropped and the toilet buttons were seized. As he continued his investigations on the toilet, he also found that the flexible hose was rusted and needed replacement.

Further inspections revealed rust present on laundry flexible hoses and pinholes in the throat of kitchen sink mixer spout causing leaks when turned on. After presenting all options to Helen, she decided to only proceed with replacing the vent pipe and toilet buttons.

The Solution:

To solve these issues, Theran first removed the existing vent pipe. He then cut a hole in the roof sheet for proper installation of a new vent pipe. Once installed, he sealed around it with high-quality sealant before securing it with rubber boot flashing (dektite). This ensured no further leakage or damage would occur from this area.

The next step was ordering new toilet buttons which were promptly attended to by our team on 04/06/25 between 7-9am as per Helen’s convenience. The old buttons were replaced with brand new ones providing smooth operation once again.
