The Job Description & Solution
Upon arrival at Dorothy’s property, Max conducted a thorough visual inspection and determined that only the toilet was experiencing blockages while all other fixtures were functioning properly. He then proceeded to perform an external inspection to locate any access points to the sewer line.
During this process, he discovered a PVC inspection opening near the manhole at the front left corner of the property. Utilizing our $149 blocked drain special which includes CCTV inspection and jet blasting services, Max inspected the sewer line upstream towards the house using CCTV technology.
The CCTV footage revealed that there was complete blockage in the branch line for Dorothy’s toilet caused by root intrusion. This indicated a failure in the toilet line pipe which needed immediate attention.
To resolve this issue, Max set up a jet blaster and used it to clear out all roots from within the pipe successfully restoring flow. However, due to limited access points within this particular section of piping, it wasn’t possible for him to insert CCTV equipment into it fully assess its condition.
As such, he recommended removing the toilet so that we could conduct a more thorough inspection of this section of piping. A detailed diagram highlighting all affected sections of sewer lines with focus on areas causing blockages was provided along with options for permanent solutions to address the issue.
