The Assigned Technician: Theran
We assigned Theran, one of our top service technicians, to the job due to his extensive experience and expertise in handling hot water system issues. With over 10 years in the industry, Theran has successfully resolved numerous similar cases and we were confident he would provide an effective solution for Christopher’s problem.
The Job Description & Solution
Upon arrival at Christopher’s home, Theran investigated the issue with the hot water system not heating properly. After thorough inspection, he discovered that the system was 12 years old and had not been serviced regularly. Additionally, there were visible signs of rust in a bucket of water indicating poor water quality.
Furthermore, it was found that the water pressure exceeded allowable limits for residential homes which could have contributed to the failure of both thermostat and element in the existing system. Based on these findings, Theran presented different options for rectification to Christopher.
After careful consideration, Christopher accepted our recommendation for a new Everhot 250L hot water system along with additional installations including a new isolation valve, tempering valve and 500kpa pressure regulating valve (required). The following steps were taken to complete this job:
- Disconnected, drained and disposed of existing hot water system
- Supplied and installed new Everhot 250L hot water heater in same location
- Supplied and installed 500kpa pressure regulating valve at water meter
- Supplied and installed new isolation and tempering valve at hot water system
- Installed temperature and pressure relief valve with drain line
- Connected water and electrical supply to the new system
- Reinstated power supply for the hot water system to begin heating.
