Case Study: Hot Water System Replacement in Maryville

Job Description & Solution
Theran arrived at Fay’s residence and conducted a thorough investigation of her hot water system. He discovered that the pressure from the incoming water supply exceeded the allowable limit of 500kpa, measuring at 700kpa. Additionally, he found that the valves on her water heater were over 20 years old.
To address these issues, Theran recommended installing a 500kpa pressure regulating valve at the isolation tap for Fay’s unit and replacing the old valves with new ones for her water heater. He presented all available options to Fay and she agreed to have only her Everhot 135l tank replaced in its current location.
Theran sourced all necessary materials before proceeding with the repairs. He first isolated the water supply and drained out the existing tank before disposing it offsite responsibly. Next, he installed a new tank and connected it to existing valves using new pipework.
The completed work was then tested by Theran to ensure everything was functioning properly before leaving Fay’s residence.
*The new tank comes with a 10-year warranty, but it requires servicing at the 5-year mark for the warranty to remain valid.
