Case Study: Solving a Hot Water Emergency for Jon in West Wallsend

Jon, a resident of West Wallsend (2286), recently found himself in a hot water emergency. His hot water system was tripping the power and leaking, causing major inconvenience and potential safety hazards. Desperate for a solution, he turned to Reactive Plumbing & Electrical after finding us through our Newcastle Magnet ad.

Assigning Theran as the Service Technician

Upon receiving Jon’s call, we immediately dispatched one of our top service technicians – Theran – to assess the situation. With years of experience and expertise under his belt, we knew that Theran would be able to handle this job with efficiency and precision.

The Job Description & Solution

Theran arrived at Jon’s residence and began investigating the issue with his hot water system. After thorough inspection, he discovered that the system was 12 years old and irreparable due to a ruptured tank which was leaking onto electrics. This posed not only an inconvenience but also a potential safety hazard for Jon.

To solve this problem, Theran presented Jon with several options for repairs or replacement. After careful consideration, Jon decided to go ahead with replacing his old system with an Everhot 250L model equipped with new ripple slab technology.

The first step was disconnecting and draining the old system before disposing of it responsibly. Next, Theran installed the new ripple slab in the same location as the previous tank. He then proceeded to install the new Everhot 250L unit while utilizing existing valves from Jon’s previous system.

Once everything was connected properly and filled up with water, Theran tested the system to ensure it was functioning correctly. Due to being on off-peak electricity, the system would begin heating overnight and provide Jon with hot water for his daily needs.

To give Jon peace of mind, we also provided him with a 10-year tank warranty for his new Everhot 250L unit. However, it is important to note that this warranty must be maintained by servicing the system at least every 5 years.
