The Job Description & Solution

Matt arrived on site and began investigating the source of the water pooling. After excavating in front of the water meter, he discovered a leak on a recently installed pressure reduction valve that had been conducted under invoice number 12107635.

Matt tightened the valve and performed a mains pressure test, which showed no drop in pressure over the testing period. However, further discussions with Diane revealed that works had been done on the council side of the water meter which may have caused the leak.

To ensure there were no other underlying issues causing the leak, Matt thoroughly inspected all areas around the water meter before confirming that it was indeed due to external works done by council.
