Case Study: Solving Darren’s Blocked Drain in Burleigh Waters
Introduction: Meet Darren, a homeowner in the beautiful suburb of Burleigh Waters (4220). He recently noticed that his ensuite bathroom drain was blocked and needed urgent attention. The Job Description & Solution: Upon arrival at Darren’s property, we conducted a thorough inspection and identified tree roots as the main cause of the blockage. To solve this issue, we offered our $149 blocked drain special which included using high pressure water jetting to clear out the roots and restore flow to the sewer system.
We then proceeded with a CCTV drain inspection which revealed a broken section of pipework allowing tree root ingress. We provided Darren with a diagram of the system and presented him with options for repair. After discussing these options, he opted to proceed with our recommended scope of work which included relining the damaged pipe.
Scope of Work:
- Arrive onsite with relining equipment
- Isolate water and remove toilet suite in ensuite bathroom
- CCTV camera inspection down toilet line to mark out pipe reline
- Picote sand pipe preparation for pipe relining
- Carry out 100mm junction/satellite sectional pipe reline on broken square junction
- Allow reline to cure
- Remove equipment from drain once cured
- CCTV inspection of completed reline and save to job file
- Tidy up and clean site
- Install new close coupled toilet suite along with mini tap and Flexi hose
- Job complete!
