Job Description & Solution
Sonja’s initial concern was slow draining rain water and ponding water on her property. Upon arrival, Kahine conducted a preventative CCTV assessment which revealed multiple issues throughout the system including broken sections of pipe, a collapsed junction, and back-falling towards the back of the property.
We provided Sonja with a detailed quote outlining all necessary repairs to rectify these issues before they caused extensive damage. After reviewing the scope of work stated below, Sonja opted to proceed with our recommended solution:
- Arrive onsite with equipment required to commence quoted stormwater works
- Read over dial before you dig plans
- Direct skip bin into most convenient location on the property
- Remove landscaping down left side of house and narrow into a neat pile out front so it’s out of our way
- Cut concrete at front of property from side gate to end driveway and cut foot path open; remove concrete and dispose into onsite skip
- Carry out machine excavation approx. 36m from back strip drain to front curb outlet at required depth and grade of fall
- Expose 5x down pipes and prepare for connections
- Install new 100mm stormwater system from back strip drain to front curb outlet, including picking up 5x downpipes and adding 4x surface pits along the way
- Bed new drainage with gravel for support
- Test all new drainage at full capacity to ensure proper functioning
- Backfill and compact existing soil; remove excess soil and dispose into onsite skip
- Gravel front concrete area so customer can reinstate concrete in the future if desired
We also reinstated landscaping on the left side of Sonja’s house, including stepping stones, weed matting, and pebbles as per its original condition. A final site clean was conducted to ensure everything was left tidy.
