Client Case Study: Margaret from Kuraby (4112)
Margaret, a resident of Kuraby (4112), recently experienced issues with her home’s plumbing. She noticed that the water in her sinks and shower was draining slowly, and there was a foul smell coming from her drains. Concerned about potential blockages or damage to her pipes, she began searching for a reliable plumbing service.
Finding the Right Solution
After researching various options online, Margaret came across Reactive Plumbing & Electrical through their ad on Google. Impressed by their positive reviews and range of services offered, she decided to give them a call.
The Assigned Technician
Upon contacting Reactive Plumbing & Electrical, Margaret was assigned Blake as her service technician. With years of experience in pipe relining and an excellent track record for solving complex plumbing issues, Blake was the perfect fit for this job.
The Job Description & Solution
Blake arrived at Margaret’s home promptly and conducted a thorough inspection of her pipes using CCTV cameras. He discovered two areas where the pipework was severely damaged due to tree root intrusion. To repair these sections without causing any disruption to Margaret’s property or landscaping, Blake recommended using a no-dig solution – pipe relining.
To begin the process, Blake cleaned out all tree roots from the affected areas using specialized equipment. Next, he inspected the pipes again to ensure they were completely clear before proceeding with sanding them down with a hydraulic sander. This step is crucial as it allows for better bonding between the existing pipe and new lining resin.
Once sanding was complete, Blake flushed out any remaining debris from the drain before setting up his relining table to prepare the reline bladder – which would be used to insert the new lining resin into the pipes. After mixing a two-part resin, Blake inserted it into the bladder and positioned it correctly using CCTV cameras.
With everything in place, Blake inflated the bladder and left it to set for a few hours. Once the resin had hardened, he removed the bladder and checked that the reline was secure and properly bonded to the existing pipe. The equipment was then cleaned before moving on to address Margaret’s second issue – another damaged section of pipework.
The same process was followed for this area: cleaning, inspecting, sanding, flushing, preparing and inserting resin with a relining bladder, inflating and allowing time for setting before removing the bladder and conducting final checks.
