Upon arrival at James’ home, Theran investigated the kitchen sink mixer and found that it needed replacement. The client had already supplied an Estilo tap for installation which came with a 12-month manufacturer’s warranty if installed within specifications.

To ensure proper installation of the new tap, Theran first measured the water temperature and pressure. He found that while the water temperature was within acceptable range at 50 degrees, the water pressure was excessively high at 750kpa – above manufacturers specifications.

To prevent any potential damage or failure of the new tap due to high water pressure, Theran recommended installing a pressure regulating valve at the water meter to limit it to 500kpa. After discussing this solution with James, he agreed to have it implemented along with installing his supplied tap.

Theran then proceeded to isolate the water supply to James’ home before removing the existing sink mixer tap and emergency isolation valves under his sink. He then installed both customer-supplied tap and new isolation taps for easy access in case of future maintenance needs.

Once all the necessary installations were completed, Theran reinstated the water supply and thoroughly tested it to ensure everything was working properly. James was satisfied with the results and appreciated Theran’s professionalism and expertise in handling his plumbing issue.
