The Job Description & Solution
Upon arrival at Rebecca’s home, Theran investigated the customer-supplied tapware that needed installation – 2 basin sets and 1 bath set. He found that the pressure and water quality were good but there were some underlying issues with the existing setup.
To ensure a long-lasting solution, Theran suggested installing isolation taps on both main and ensuite basin water connections. This would allow easy access for future maintenance or repairs without disrupting the entire water supply system of the house.
In addition, he also recommended replacing the plastic washers with brass ones in order to prevent any potential leaks or damages in the future. The client accepted this cost-effective solution proposed by Theran.
To begin with the installation process, Theran isolated the water supply to Rebecca’s home. He then proceeded with removing the existing bath set which had a deep crack making it impossible to reface. To fix this issue permanently, he installed a stainless steel seat on its cold side before installing back the customer-supplied bath set along with new brass washers.
Next, Theran removed the existing basin sets and replaced them with the customer-supplied ones. He also installed high-quality flexible hoses that are rust-resistant to ensure a durable installation. Once everything was in place, he reinstated the water supply and thoroughly tested the installation to make sure there were no leaks or issues.
