Case Study: Solving Simon’s Hot Water Service Issue in Tarro

Introduction:

Simon, a resident of Tarro (2322), recently contacted Reactive Plumbing & Electrical after experiencing issues with his hot water service. He found us through our Newcastle Magnet ad and decided to give us a call for help.

The Assigned Technician:

Zach, one of our experienced service technicians, was assigned to the job. With years of experience and extensive knowledge in plumbing and electrical services, Zach was the perfect fit for this particular job.

The Job Description & Solution:

Upon arrival at Simon’s residence, Zach attended to the issue with the hot water service. He began by checking the flow at multiple fixtures and testing static pressure at the hot outlet. After measuring the water temperature, he discovered that it was at 68 degrees – 18 degrees over the safe limit outlined by NCC Vol. 3 (Plumbing code of Australia).

To solve this problem, Zach replaced a failed tempering valve which resulted in bringing down the temperature to safe levels. However, despite fixing this issue, there was still a flow problem present which suggested another valve failure. To confirm this suspicion, further diagnostic testing was carried out.

Zach then proceeded to replace the pressure limiting valve on Simon’s water heater which not only solved the flow issue but also improved its rate significantly.
